So, it's time to talk frankly.

Very few people are still playing WRFinalMix, and very few people are still interested in playing. The move to dreamwidth further reduced the number of people playing. The honest truth is that these problems will only continue.

On a level, Ryuu and Ryune were right when they said that the game needed to end on a high note. For a while, we had a good time after, but then things began to get more and more diluted, and began to experience more and more inertia. We deserved to end on a high note.

After some serious discussion, Song and I looked at what plot we had, scrambled it, amped it, and said, "Well?" And we decided that we want to provide a potential end-point. After we run it, we'll be done. If there's anyone who really wants to continue past that, obviously they should continue to play, but we think the story should have a place that can be an end. I'm ready to end. Clearly lotsof others are and have been for a long time.

So, our suggestion is to move back to livejournal for a final arc so that anyone who's still lurking there can join in on the action if they like. The action would happen fast and end before the end of the year, maybe much sooner. Let's go out with a bang instead of a whimper.

Guys (the three or four of you who will see this anyway), since we're not jumping on Medrau's brilliant plan to summon the First Darkness for convenient disposal (please note the sarcasm) feel free to instigate any plot-like gaming of your own, to fill space.

Cuz I'm just gonna sit here for a while, so you know.

By the way.

Do we want a Christmas log or not?

How many players are still active on WR, or lurking and waiting for something to happen?

A handful of refugees and their trusted friend - Chase, Ari, Ray, SSK, and Rak - walk into the Leaky Cauldron. Chase looked at the others and said, "Let there be magic!" and Obliviated was born.

Since this lovely little idea here was based off of the one and only World Refugees, I thought it pertinent to tell you guys about it. It's another self-insert game, but the premise is just a liiiiittle bit different - and that goes beyond it being a Harry Potter game instead of Kingdom Hearts. So instead of us thinking the magical world and all the events therein are fictional and suddenly getting punched in the face with it, we already live in the HP universe, where magic is hidden so that the books do not exist, and we know nothing about any of it.

The reason that we're clueless is simple. The game takes place immediately after Goblet of Fire, so You-Know-Who and his Death Eaters are eager to take power once more. And as the game's name implies, we have all become the victims of the Obliviate spell, which wipes our memories. We're all members of the magical community - American, British, French, or otherwise - but with the recent Death Eater attacks on the magical world, many witches and wizards have simply vanished without a trace. That's where we come in.

Since losing memories, we've lived as Muggles, completely ignorant of anything magical in our lives. Something strange happens? Coincidence. See a set of dark robes disappearing around the corner? Paranoia. The lights flicker? A storm. But the magic in all of us can't be suppressed forever, and soon enough, it will all come out.

I know some of you are into Harry Potter as well, so we're inviting you all to come join us. We have all of eleven players right now, I think? So it's still pretty small, which hopefully will mean there will be plenty of room for everyone to have their fun. And I kind of miss playing with most of you guys too so maybe there will lots of fun times to be had with old chums who knows Ahem.

Yeah! If you want to join up, that'd be awesome! You can pick out your wand and everything! If not, that's cool, too. I mostly just wanted to give you guys the heads up, because hey, we inspired another game like ours, yay!

So, yeah.

I'm sorry I haven't been able to contribute much recently, but with base internet going wacky, my own schedule, and the new 'fun' thing brought in by various things, I just haven't really been very active.

Today/yesterday was halloween and I really didn't get much done, other than e-mailing my girlfriend. But, that's a different story.

Anywho, meat of message time. November. Nanowrimo. And, amusingly enough, the last month of my tour. So, in short, I will be very busy.

In the very unlikely chance you care about my project, it's going to feature Hex. Or at least a relatively close enough analogue that shares the same name.

Actually, now that I look at it, Hex has changed a lot since what was technically her first appearance. Remember way back when Radiant Garden was revived, and some skinny dude showed up, block a bullet and left? That was Hex's first incarnation. Over time, she developed into a girl, gained her motivation for doing as she did, and generally became a whole different character than I thought she would be.

My NaNoWriMo project, will be fleshing out Hex's backstory. Well, an AU Hex's backstory, but still...

... At least I have an idea of what I want to write this time.

... Did I miss Star Market somehow?

I mean, we went a while without updates, and then, suddenly 'Well, it's nice to be back'.

Was everyone just busy, or were we doing this somewhere else, or was everyone waiting for somebody to post until finally someone said 'Screw it', and made it post Star Market?

On an unrelated note, Fate/Zero is out! B)

Will it be an epic train wreck, and an utter tragedy as we bond to the characters only to watch them perish and/or be broken by the events that will come to pass? Yes. Will I be watching the shit out of this anyway? Yes. Because seeing Kiritsugu at his prime, and watching Servants throw down down in high quality animation appeals to me, enough to overcome the knowledge that this series does not have a happy ending.

Didn't you guys say it was going to be on the ninth?

If so, shouldn't the warp-storm/Corridors/Gummi Lanes clear up soon?

Just sayin'.

Also, I'm looking for ideas. Hex is going to be performing an experiment on Gargoyle's New York, but I'm a little stuck as to what kind of thing she should be messing with.

Her Dark magic is currently stuck at at 'Dark Beebee-gun', and portals aren't working at all for her. However, she's still got enchantment. So, I was thinking about her doing this ritual that drains magic from the city, and concentrates it for her to use. Something like that would take a long while to set up, and I'd appreciate suggestions on the specifics with this.

Ability-wise, I'd say that this is something Hex could pull off, but that under other circumstances it just wouldn't be practical. She's just not skilled enough to wring alot of energy out the air, even if she spends a lot of time setting up. But, even a little is more than she has right now.

So, yeah. Is this an acceptable idea?

So... my Final Mix soundtrack only has two songs added after the Calum bit, and those are based on the Maleficent plot.

Just give me a theme for Jagannatha and maybe something for Koios and/or Hex. That should do it.
Maybe something for the final battle.

edit: After Koios and Aya's log, I really want a good song for him. That was not expected.
